CURRICULUM:

St. John's Lutheran Preschool follows the curriculum guidelines established and suggested by the Early Childhood Education Program of the College of Human Environmental Sciences at the University of Kentucky , and the Early Childhood program developed by the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod . Areas with attention given to appropriate age levels included are: social and communication skills, positive self concept, creative skills, cognitive skills, physical skills, and early religious training. Guidance in these areas are provided in a safe and healthy learning environment.

SCHEDULE:

The FOUR year old classes meet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of each week from 9:00am to 12:00pm.

The THREE year old class meets on Wednesday and Friday morning of each week from 9:00am to 12:00pm.

The READINESS class for young 5 year olds meets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9:00am to 12:00pm.

In addition to our regular classes, students will present an evening Christmas program in December. An evening Graduation Celebration program will be held in May.

The school calendar runs from September through May. A holiday schedule of school closings will be given to parents at the beginning of each school year.

Snow days:

St. John's will be closed if Fayette County Schools are closed. Tune into local early morning TV and radio broadcasts for this information. School days missed due to weather conditions will be made up at the end of the school year.
